All About Me
This is my dog, Magic, who, along with my husband and our four children make up our close-knit family. Oh! I forgot to mention our two cats, Cozy and Cuddles, and our pet rabbit, Cinnamon. I guess you could say our house is crowded, but never boring!
I have always had a passion for art. Throughout the years, I studied Interior Design, painting, drawing and even dabbled in a few arts and crafts. Some of my best memories are doing projects with my kids. I'm so proud to say that they have picked up on my artistic intentions, each with an expression uniquely their own. I also loved those years I volunteered at our local Mom-and-Tots club where I was kept pretty busy working with the kids on the latest children's crafts. Everyone would always say, "Nancy, you should be a teacher!"
Well, I guess the message finally sunk in because here I am, almost finished my first year at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, on my way to fulfilling my dream of becoming an Elementary school teacher. My goal, actually, is to inspire students and teachers to adopt art as a tool in the classroom. Art has long been one of the first things on the chopping block and many teachers are even intimidated by an art project because they consider their artistic talents to be less than worthy. So silly! I say, with a little guidance, a little experience, and even less expenses, everyone can enjoy the benefits of artistic expression as it warms the heart and feeds the soul.
Hopefully, this website will be an inspiration to all those who visit. Stay a while, enjoy the view. Who knows, maybe a project that you posted here will be the one to inspire the next visitor. . .
Good luck!
Miss Nancy.
